Sentence (বাক্য) কী?

Sentence হলো এমন কিছু শব্দের সমষ্টি যা একটি সম্পূর্ণ অর্থ প্রকাশ করে।

 উদাহরণ:

• I am a student. (আমি একজন ছাত্র)

• She plays football. (সে ফুটবল খেলে)

 Sentence এর প্রধান অংশ (Parts of Sentence)

1. Subject (উদ্দেশ্য)

 যে ব্যক্তি/বস্তু কাজ করে
Example:
 Rahim plays football.
(Rahim = Subject)

2. Predicate (বিধেয়)

 Subject যা করে বা তার সম্পর্কে যা বলা হয়
 Example:
Rahim plays football
(plays football = Predicate)

 Sentence এর প্রকারভেদ (Types of Sentence)

1. Assertive Sentence (বর্ণনামূলক)

 কিছু বলা বা তথ্য দেওয়া হয়

• I go to school.

• She is happy.

2. Interrogative Sentence (প্রশ্নবোধক)

 প্রশ্ন করা হয়

• Do you play cricket?

• Where are you going?

3. Imperative Sentence (আদেশ/অনুরোধ)

 আদেশ, অনুরোধ বা উপদেশ

• Open the door.

• Please help me.

4. Exclamatory Sentence (বিস্ময়সূচক)

 আবেগ প্রকাশ করে

• What a beautiful flower!

• Hurrah! We won.

 Basic Structure:
Subject + Verb + Object

Example:

• I eat rice.

• She reads a book.

Parts of Speech (৮টি পদ)

Sentence বানাতে এগুলো লাগে 

1. Noun (বিশেষ্য) – Rahim, book

2. Pronoun (সর্বনাম) – he, she

3. Verb (ক্রিয়া) – eat, go

4. Adjective (বিশেষণ) – good, big

5. Adverb (ক্রিয়া বিশেষণ) – quickly

6. Preposition (পদান্বয়ী অব্যয়) – in, on

7. Conjunction (সংযোজক) – and, but

8. Interjection (বিস্ময়বোধক) – wow!

3 ধরনের:

1. Present (বর্তমান)

2. Past (অতীত)

3. Future (ভবিষ্যৎ)

 Example:

• I eat rice. (Present)

• I ate rice. (Past)

• I will eat rice. (Future)

 Positive & Negative Sentence

Positive:

• I like mango.

 Negative:

• I do not like mango.

 Active & Passive Voice

Active:

• Rahim writes a letter.

 Passive:

• A letter is written by Rahim.

Simple / Complex / Compound Sentence

1. Simple:

 একটাই clause

• I play.

2. Complex:

 একটি main clause + একটি subordinate clause

• I know that he is honest.

3. Compound:

 দুইটি main clause

• I went home and I slept.

• Clause কী?

 Sentence এর অংশ যার Subject + Verb থাকে

 Example:

• I know that he is good
